SHORT SYNOPSIS
Days into the war with Iran, a missile shatters the windows of the Tel Aviv apartment Noy shares with her husband and their traumatized son. To shield him, the family flees to a house they renovated in the Negev desert with another couple, close friends of theirs. They believe they've found refuge, until Rim, a twelve-year-old girl, appears at their door. When Noy learns that Rim is an orphan who escaped from Gaza, she insists on protecting her. But as the others turn against the girl, Noy must choose between saving her and protecting her own family.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE
Since October 7, the life I have known has been buried under a relentless avalanche. The very foundations of my world - my identity as an Israeli Jew and the stories I want to tell as a filmmaker, have been fractured and undermined. Through Noy’s journey in ״Until You See People״, I ask whether an individual can still act meaningfully in a reality that dismisses voices of reason and humanity as naïve and delusional. Much like Noy’s own path, making this film is an act of hope and a refusal to look away.
