LOGLINE
A young Ethiopian-Israeli woman discovers that the story of her father’s heroic death, was invented to conceal the rape that led to her birth. When she learns that her biological father is alive, and living in Israel, she sets out with a gun to find him, unsure whether she wants justice for her mother or the father she never had.

ABOUT THE WRITERS
Aalam-Warqe (Almorak) Davidian is an award-winning Ethiopian-born screenwriter and director and a graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film School. Her feature film “Fig Tree” screened at TIFF and won an award at the festival. It also received six Ophir Awadsa (Israeli Academy) nominations. Her documentaries aired on Kan 11, HOT8, and Keshet and screened internationally.
Naomi Kantor is an Israeli filmmaker based in Frankfurt. A graduate of Sam Spiegel and the Digital Narratives master’s programme at ifs Cologne, she is a screenwriter on “In Her Eyes” and is developing her debut feature “Nowhere Better Than This Place” as writer-director with the German production company, Grandfilm.

Yoav Roeh is a graduate of The Sam Spiegel Film and Television School. In 2008 he founded the boutique production company - Gum Films, with partner Aurit Zamir. The company’s work includes award-winning films. Among them: “What is to Come” (Tribeca FF official selection 2026), “The Future” (Tribeca FF official selection 2023), “Delegation” (Berlin FF official selection, 2023), “Asia” (Tribeca- Nora Ephron Award, Best Actress & Best Cinematography, 9 Ophir awards including Best Film), and the TV Series “The Missing File” (for Kan 11 and Keshet International), “For God’s Sake” (for Kan 11, screened at Berlin TV Festival Official Selection), “The Accursed” by Hagai Levi (for Hot), among others.
