SYNOPSIS

A wildlife photographer prefers birds to humans, and lives with her beloved husband in an isolated desert camper.
When his fading memory erases her, it also exposes his secret: he has a daughter she never knew about. A warm yet troubled comedian.
Tracking her ignites an unlikely bond that redefines both women's sense of belonging and obsession.
But as she forces herself into a family that isn't hers, she struggles to tell whether she's finally living free - or merely observing life from behind a different lens.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

My grandfather had dementia. He disappeared for 3 days. When he was found, it took my grandmother 4 hours to pick him up. I still wonder why. How did she feel before retrieving the man she loved?
I'm obsessed with the tension between LOVE vs. SELF. Flora is an honest vessel of my fears: being forgotten and being defined by someone else. Caged by the need to be needed. But through Tami, Flora's lens shifts: from a distant observer who prefers birds, to a participant among humans.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER

Yotam Knispel is an Israeli-Polish filmmaker and lecturer.
His short films "Love Has Nothing To Do With It" and "Girl With a Fork in a World of Soup" were nominated for Israeli Academy Awards and won multiple awards.
He wrote the documentary-animated feature "Kafka's Last Trial" and "Now More Than Ever", co-produced by American comedian Amy Schumer. His other shorts: "Bambina", "Drop", "Fuck Buddies". He won filmmaking grants and residencies in Europe and the USA.
"Don't Forget Flora" is his first feature film.

The company focuses on bold, intimate storytelling by emerging voices, collaborating with leading Israeli artists and international brands.
She produced award-winning films including "The Visit" (Cannes Cinéfondation), ״The Sun Rises Down Below" (Jerusalem FF Winner), "The Holiness" (Israeli Academy nominee), "BEA" (Best Performance, Jerusalem FF 2025, Hollyshorts 26), and "While We Stayed Home (Cinequest Winner). Additional credits include the features "Life Without Cover" (Haifa FF 2024), "Nandauri" (JFF 2025), and the series "Pagum" and "Saving the Wildlife" (KAN 11).
She is currently in post-production on "Nothing Dies, All Transforms", supported by the Israeli Film Fund, and developing "Don't Forget Flora", supported by national funds and international labs.
