SYNOPSIS
In Haifa, Sergeant Elia Bitton shares a tense home with her religious mother while investigating a lifeguard’s disappearance. The case pulls her into crime, past scars, and her first love- a world she knows well from her father’s ties to the underworld. Caught between duty, desire, and her mother’s warnings, a raid ends her career and finally reveals the true story of her family that she’s been seeking all along.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE
I return to Dado Beach, where my father died when I was 17, to explore loss, truth, and memory. The missing lifeguard mirrors my search for my vanished father. Elia’s journey uncovers buried family secrets, dismantles her idealization of her father, and confronts the shadow of masculinity. The story reveals how women navigate the ruins men leave behind, and the cost of freedom.
