SHORT SYNOPSIS

Felix is a sheltered and talented young singer who carries an inner void, drifting from one relationship to the next to escape it. When he crosses paths with three contrasting father figures - his long-absent, broken father; an eccentric intellectual neighbour; and an enigmatic migrant bar owner - each encounter forces him to confront masculinity, responsibility, and identity, ultimately challenging him to grow and discover a deeper sense of self.

DIRECTOR’S NOTE

“Pureland” explores how young adults seek identity beyond patriarchal norms. Through stories of migration, gender, and class, it shows how vulnerability becomes a force for transformation. Despite structural violence, new solidarities emerge. It’s not about reclaiming roots, but growing new ones, far from origins, expectations, and habits, through communities shaped by care and resilience. Every new home begins as a blank page, a pure space made ours by the colours we bring.
